A lot of people from the city just plan a day visit at Moalboals beautiful beach in basdako called "White Beach".
So here are the expenses that most likely will occur.
Per person
97 php + 5 php terminal fee --> 2 1/2 hour bus ride from Cebu South Bus Terminal with Ceres or Librando
15 php --> tricycle to go to White beach
5 php --> entrance for Saavedra
10 php --> entrance for White beach
Once you are there at White beach, you may rent a small beach cottage to stay, for 300 Php at White beach, 600 php near Esters place for a cottage on a property, and 1500 php for a private cottage of a resort (although we once got a discount for only 500 php on a private cottage on a resort, since we were only 3 of us and only stayed for a few hours)
Then you may also take a boatride along the beach to the sanctuarys, and hopefully you are able to see some Turtles. A boatride along the shore usually costs only 500 php.
If you want to take a boat to pescador, that may cost about 2,000 php.
FOODS AND DRINKS
I recommend to either bring snacks, foods and drinks from the city, or buy it in town, because the sari-sari stores at White beach are quite expensive. A good place to buy cheap drinks and snacks in town is right at the corner at the road going to Basdako/White Beach in front of GELO. It's a wholesaler, where you may get Red Horse for 55 php per bottle and chips at a good price. Another place to buy snacks is also 360 pharmacy, which you can find right at Moalboal's public market.
If you want to buy actual food, you may want to try the several Foodtrips in front of Moalboal's old church. Where you can buy chicken for 25 pHp. If you would like Lechon Manok you are able to find it nearby too for 150 pHp.
If you actually want to go out for dinner, Club Serena is a very nice place to take your dinner, but also quite expensive, but also basdiot/panagsama offers a lot of nice restaurants.

How to get around in Moalboal
If you are a foreigner, you are most likely to receive a "foreigner price" of motorcycle drivers (Habal-habal drivers) and Pedicab drivers.
A Pedicab (Motorcycle with side car) goes to Saavedra/Basdako/White Beach at the rate of 15 Php (pesos) per person. But that is only if there are a lot of passengers. So if you want to rent your own/personal pedicab to go to White Beach 100-150 Php sounds like a fair price.
A Pedicab (Motorcycle with side car) goes to Panagsama/Basdiot at the rate of 8 Php, but sometimes drivers will ask for 10-1 5Php per person. And also here, this price is only if there are a lot of passengers riding. If you want to rent your own/personal pedicab to get to Panagsama (Basdiot is nearer than to get to Saavedra) but also here a fair price would be 100-150 Php.
A Habal-Habal (motorcycle) good for 2-3 people, will go to Basdiot and also to White beach at the rate of 20 Php per person.
When passing in Saavedra, you are going to be asked to pay 5 Php per person. Do not get confused, it is not only for foreigners, but it is for everyone passing there who does not live behind that point. If ever you are going to the beach, you will have to pay another 10 Php before you get to the beach. If you stay at a resort in that area, I think resorts have special deals with those people and you may not have to pay.
Renting a Motorcycle
Renting a Motorcycle would be the most comfortable way to get around Moalboal if you are staying there for a longer time. Rental prices differ from place to place. Resorts will ask for 350 - 800 Php per day, for a Honda XRM 125. Most commonly rented motorcycles are either Honda XRM 125 or Honda Wave 110. Locals would rent out their motorcycles for 300 - 400 Php. Good deals are to rent a motorcycle for 2000 Php a week. Although if you know the right people, you may get a motorcycle rental for 1500 Php or even 1000 Php a week.
Bigger motorcycles
There several places that rent out Honda XR (dirtbike) motorcycles for about 600 - 800 Php a day. But I have once seen that someone was renting it out somewhere in Moalboal for 500Php.
In basdiot you can find also a motorcycle rental for a Kawasaki Rouser 135 for 600 Php a day. While I have seen another rental for the Kawasaki Rouser 220 for 600 Php.
IF you would like to rent a motorcycle at a fair price in Moalboal, I may be able to help you find a rental at a good price. Leave a comment or send me a message at moalboalalon@hotmail.com

How to get to Moalboal, Cebu
Cebu City to Moalboal
The best way to reach Moalboal from the city is by Bus. For me it is the most comfortable and safest way to get to my destination of Moalboal.
At Cebu Southbus Terminal (near E-mall) you can take a ceres liner, and right across Cebu Southbus Terminal, you may also find Librando Buses. 2-3 hours ride.
Fares:
Ceres Liner : 5Php terminal fee + 97 Php
Librando: 107 Php
Other options is also at One Citilink Cebu, V-hires (van for hires), which are modified Vans, that can occupy 18 passengers plus 1 driver. Because of the discomfort and safty reasons I prefer a bus. But on the good side, does a V-hire have aircon and goes straight to Moalboal, no stop-n-go like in the Bus. Fare is 100 Php. I used to pay another seat though for more comfort, so 200 Php for me, since they squeeze 4 people in one rowe, and you feel like a sardine in a can. It is also a 2-3 hours ride.
Cebu Mactan Airport to Moalboal
If you are a tourist and arrive at Cebu Mactan Airport and want to get to Moalboal there are also several ways to reach your destination. If you have already made reservations at a resort in Moalboal, they are most likely to have also a shuttle service, and will pick you up at the airport and bring you directly to the resort. What I have observed although is that those services are mostly very pricy.
So what you can do is, you can either take a taxi from the airport or use the methods above to get to Moalboal.
IMPORTANT!
Yellow Airport Taxis differ in price from the White Taxis. While flagdown in a
White taxi : Flagdown 40Php and 3.50Php every 300 meters
Yellow Airport taxi: Flagdown 70Php and 4Php every 300 meters
1. Service offered from a resort --> about 5,000 Php +/-
2.You can take a taxi for 200-300 Pesos to the city, and then take either a Bus or V-hire
300 - 400 Php
3. Take a taxi from the airport to Moalboal 2,500 Php +/-, while other taxi drivers will ask for 3,000 Php, but you can negotiate with them
4. Rent a car and drive yourself ( unfortunately I do not have any rates on how much it is to rent a car). If you drive yourself, gasoline from the city to moalboal takes usually about 500Php. I recommend although to fulltank the car in Minglanilla at Oil or Seaoil ( 46php per liter), since gasoline in Moalboal costs about 53.50php, and of course you will still need another 500php of gasoline to get back to the city. In Moalboal itself I recommend to buy gasoline at the newly opened gasoline station D'Acers, rather than at Petron, since at Petron they have tried to fool several times foreigners already. For example: letting them pay for 13 liters gasoline, for a motorcyle where only 5 liters fit in.
5. Make a deal with known drivers. I once had an offer by a taxi driver to take me from the city to Moalboal for 1600 Php. But 2,000Php is already a good price, while most drivers will probably ask for about 2,500 Php. Just do your best at negotiating :).
If you are interested in finding a fair and safe driver for you, you can either leave a comment or you can message me at moalboalalon@hotmail.com and let me know. I am most likely to arrange a good price for a Van but am also able to find other drivers of taxis and SUVs at a good price.
